1Use adhesive basting spray to adhere the batting to the wrong side of the exterior bag pieces. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, iron the interfacing to the wrong side of the bag lining pieces.
2Wrong sides together, fold the exterior pocket piece in half to make a rectangle 7˝ × 10˝. Press. Slip the pocket batting inside the fold. Topstitch ¼˝ below the fold.
3Trim a 1½˝ square out of the lower (10˝ side) corners of both exterior pieces, both lining pieces, and the pocket piece.
4Baste the pocket in place on the lower end of the bag front, leaving the cut-out squares open.
